[Current Condition: Enlightened]
It seems as though, we as people have began to worship things that serve no meaning. I was sitting here in my bed, trying to supress this horrible cough, and came to the random conclusion, that we place a lot of our priorities into things that serve no validity at all.
Let’s take men for example. Men tend to worship sports. Interesting fact isn’t it? I’ve sat in Church on numerous occasions where I would hear men discussing the outcome of last nights game, or the game that they are currently missing. Is that right? No.
Women do the same thing. Women tend to worship that new article of clothing, or that new shoe that they MUST have. Is that right? No.
Why do we cherish the things that we can not take with us when we perish? Why do we substitute reality for things that only make us feel better? What happened to learning how to hurt before you can heal? Often times we as people don’t like to face the problems we face in life first-hand; instead we escape to our guilty pleasure, in which we can temporarily forget about that one issue. We make these pleasures our “WORLD”. What if something happened to our “WORLD”? What if it never existed? Would we function any different? How would we solve these issues we choose to ignore? In life, we all tend to seek answers to our problems. We all look for that escape route; that portal to something more copacetic (acceptable). If you look at it in a more spiritual point-of-view - the act of seeking is highly honored and respected. In order to seek, it begins with an idea. That idea might not be all that clear to you, but it has to be there in order for you to get the answers you desire. When you cherish something, you place value on it, because you think that it is the answer, or because it defines your character, or who you THINK you are. This cherishing that we are doing is what the false self thrives on. Do you get it? When we realize that none of this is real, or going to ever solve ANYTHING, that’s when you get that - AHA MOMENT. You get that sudden shock of reason and intellect.
now…I’ll ask you again; ARE YOU READY TO LOSE YOUR WORLD?
